Sunday Funday

I love Sundays. I truly do. Sundays are a day of relaxing, enjoying family, and taking in the beauties of the earth. I personally think Sundays are the days with the best weather. I love going to church, it may sometimes feel so long, but it is just a chance to start again. I love the warmth that Sunday's bring. I never am cold on sundays. I love that I have family around and that we all love each other so much. I love (and hate) being excited for something. It usually takes up all of my thoughts until it is over. I am anxious to start Senior Year, but I really don't want these next couple weeks to go fast. Some of my best friends will be graduating. Don't leave me with the crazies! I love quiet. I love listening to my dog snore. I love listening to the air blowing throughout the house. I love the sounds of my fingers on the keyboard. I love quiet. I love my Dad. He is the definition of a gentleman. He is the most remarkable human being I have ever know. He deserves a medal. This Sunday, be optimistic. It will bring you joy. Appreciate the little things about your day. Tell your family you love them. Our task is to become our best selves. One of God's greatest gifts to us is the joy of trying again, for no failure ever need be final." --Thomas S. Monson, "The Will Within," Ensign, May 1987 Chandler

To the Girls...

This post is dedicated to my favorite women and friends that inspire me everyday. Morgan Jo Nelson and Addy Sue Baird. I love you women more than you could ever know. You two are remarkable. I look up to you in so many ways. Let me name them. You make me feel like a million bucks. You have confidence in me when I don't have any confidence at all. You tell me I am good enough when I know I am not.You tell me I am awesome when I feel like dirt. You tell me I am worth it. You tell me I am special. Most of all you tell me that I am important to you and that you have my back.I love reading your blogs they inspire me each and everyday.I love your sense of style. Seriously you should be supermodels. I love your laugh.I love that you put up with my warped sense of humor. I love that you are willing to listen to me.I love that you know when I am upset.I love that you have great taste in music. I love your sense of humor. I love that you have your own opinions. I love that you are brave.I love that you are strong.I love you. You two are the first friends in my entire life that I feel would have my back at anytime no matter what.Thank you, sincerely from the bottom of my heart.

Just put on a happy face... Or try to

Seriously?!? I did not think this would be so hard. Maybe it is just this week... Yes, it is just this week. No one understands that my heart is truly broken. It wasn't from some boy, or someone dying. It was from not being able to do Drama, some people say that's a stupid reason to be depressed. Well, When all you do is think about, listen to, watch is musicals or drama things; you have the right. I've cried more this week than in my entire life. Everytime I look at a picture of my friends in costume, I cry and want to scream. Why? Why did this happen to me? Well, I don't know why. I know that God sent me this trial for a reason. I had no idea it would be this hard.
No one gets it. Not even my best friends get it. When I try and leave them hints that I am dying inside, they don't get it. They treat me like I don't know squat and should move on. Trust me I AM trying. I just need help getting through this at school, when I am surrounded by it all. I just need someone that I can cry to right now. This is the hardest thing I have ever gone through.
My only relief is singing. I sing when I can't deal with the pain. I sing all the musical theater and Christmas songs I possibly can. It is my greatest blessing. My voice is truly a blessing. I am grateful for that.

I am also grateful for the musical, "Next To Normal." I saw this back in October. It is one of the greatest shows ever written. Lately, Whenever I listen to it there is always a particular song that makes me smile. I am grateful for this song.

Light, Next To Normal

Natalie:
We need some light.
First of all, we need some light.
You can't sit here in the dark.
And all alone, it's a sorry sight.
It's just you and me.
We'll live, you'll see.

Dan:
Night after night,
We'd sit and wait for the morning light.
But we've waited far too long,
For all that's wrong to be made right.

Diana:
Day after day,
Wishing all our cares away.
Trying to fight the things we feel,
But some hurts never heal.
Some ghost are never gone,
But we go on,
We still go on.

And you find some way to survive
And you find out you don't have to be happy at all,
To be happier alive.

Natalie:
Day after day,
Give me clouds, and rain and gray.
Give me pain, if that's what's real.

Henry and Natalie:
It's the price we pay to feel.

Dan and Diana:
The price of love is loss,

Dan:
But still we pay.

Dan and Henry:
We love anyway.

Gabe:
And when the night has finally gone.
And when we see the new day dawn.
We'll wonder how we wandered for so long, so blind.
The wasted world we thought we knew,
The light will make it look brand new.
So

All:
Let it
Let it
Let it
Let it
Let it
Shine, shine, shine.

Day after day (day after day),
We'll find the will to find our way.
Knowing that the darkest skies will someday see the sun.

Dan:
When our long night is done,

Dan and Natalie:
There will be light.

Diana:
(There will be light.
There will be light.)

All:
There will be light.
When we open up our light.
Sons and daughters, husbands, wives.
Can fight that fight.
There will be light.
There will be light.
There will be light.
There will be light.

THERE WILL BE LIGHT

You've Got to be Kidding...

Let's face the facts.
In my English Class there are a lot of idiots.
Don't Believe Me?
Here's a story.
In my English Class, we always start off reading, speed reading. Two boys forgot there books. I have with me: My scriptures, My American History textbook, and inside my backpack Taming of The Shrew. I am reading the Secret Garden at this point.

BOY 1: Do you think I could read you bible?
ME: Sure, but I have another book that you could read.
BOY 1: OK, that works.

I hand him Taming of the Shrew.

BOY 2: Do you have another book?
ME: Nope, Sorry.
BOY 2: Then, Can I read your text book?
ME: Um.. Sure.

I hand him the text book and we all begin reading. Did I mention another kid next to me was reading Jane Austen for Dummies?

After the time was done this is what was said to me.

BOY 2: Thanks for letting me use your text book.
ME: No problem.

BOY 1: (read Taming Of The Shrew) I liked that book. This is a really good writer.

MY THOUGHTS: NO DUH! IT'S SHAKESPEARE YOU IDIOT!!

Now do you believe that I am surrounded by idiots in my English Class.

Until Next Time...

Magic

So lately I have been reading my friend Addy's blog. She is fabulous and has inspired me to start blogging again. So here it goes!

I got the opportunity to go see Mary Poppins The Musical in Salt Lake on Thursday. It was so wonderful. It made me appreciate the art more and more. It was so magical, I felt like I was five years old and still believe that magic was real. I think that moments like that are what make life so beautiful. I remember going to Disneyland with my brother, his wife and their four kids. I felt like I was showing them what is (in my opinion) the greatest place ever. To see there eyes light up was so magical to me. I felt like that on Thursday during the performance. Through that experience I have learned that acting isn't about emotions, and making the audience reflect, well that's all part of it, but I think it is to make someone know that life is magical. It is discovering new things, learning, growing, and loving. It is being optimistic. But it is love. LOVE the little things. Appreciation. Learning to appreciate hard times, and trials. Mary Poppins sings a song called , "Anything Can Happen". Look it up. It has a beautiful message. I encourage you to be optimistic people, show your love for others more often, and I know the world will be a better place.

Until next time.

89 days.

What can I do in 89 days? Well, What am I going to do in 89 days. I will be in Florida. I can't wait. Well to prepare for the trip, I am on a diet. Yep. A Diet. The dreaded word. So I hope I will be happy with how I look when we go. Well, I don't have much to say. I am having a movie night with my two best friends tonight, and really that's as exciting as it gets this weekend. What a life. Just kidding I really am grateful for what I have. It has just been a long week. Well, that's all I have to say. Until next time...
